We are using VX.1.1 and we don't have the 3D Layout option.
If I want to view my board in 3D, I can make an IDF file.
This IDF file will only show the PCB, the components (boxes) and holes in the board.
Is there a way, direct from Xpedition or with a 3rd party plug-in, to view all the items (components, traces, pad's, holes) on the board?

I'm trying to route the same circuit multiple times. I'd like to know how to accomplish this in an automated flow.
I already was able to place components by using the keyin "pr -file myplacement.txt", but I can't get a similar option for routes.
Keep in mind that net names are not the same, so "Copy trace" won't work. Design attached.
Using Hyperlynx DRC 6.2.3. There are many settings available in the Setup/Options dialog and I see that the Document object exposes only a few of them (DRCDirectories, IBISModelDirectories, LocalModelDirectories, and ParentSettingsFileName) Is there a way to get any of the other values? As an example, I would like to get the "Minimum TLine Length" value from the "Transmission Lines" option within a custom rule.

I found this script Variant Manager excel report from script in this forum. This script does a part of what i like to do. What im missing is a way to get DxDatabook properties for the parts in the diffrent variants.
The goal of my script is to do an excel file with a sheet for each variant. Im only interested in the substituted parts therefore those are the only ones exported to the excel file.
So far I got everything to work except a way to incude additionell attribute information from the dxdatabook.
If you using the inbuilt report generator in VM its possible to get those attributes by the .Properties property. How do i do that in my script?
An additional question is it possible to get this VM information from a script in PADS?

1. I was trying to create user name and password for VeSys, on my laptop so I went to Tools -> Edit user.
2. Then I clicked on new and entered system1 as user name and password (“single signon”) kept default as we can not change it .
3. Then , I had checked in the Designer and Librarian boxes but not Administrator box.
4. Further, I clicked on Ok and closed the design.
5. After all of the above steps, when I am trying to reopen the tool with the provided credientials, it shows the error message as mentioned below:

While simulating differential via using 3D em in hyperlynx, graph of insertion and return loss is coming proper only when i take ground vias around them, otherwise while not including ground vias around differential via pairs, insertion and return loss graph are coming out to be reversed.

is there any easy way to convert imperail PDBs (Symbols and Cells with inch grid) to metric?
Background: for e.g. CPUs I get the PDB often from the vendor, unfortunately in inch, as our complete library use metric I have to create the whole PDB by myself with metric grid. I'm not able to use the vendor data. I talk about parts with a lot more than 1000 pins.

During pre-layout simulations when I am trying to set up a IBIS model I receive following error message Unreasonable large capacitance value for C_pin of pin 1048 in component..."
Capacitance value is 235 nF and I can't run simulation. If I will change to 235 pF HyperLynx is able to set up model but of course model is different from originally.

Failed 9.5 install (no license found for viewdata040), ran Mentor Graphics SSD Test and Install HW Key Driver and it found the dongle. Ran Mentor_License_Utility and it failed to find the dongle. Removed and reinstalled the driver and it now finds the dongle. Still failed launch with the same error. Diagnostic report shows C:\flexlm\license.dat does NOT exist.
Ran Mentor_License_Utility and tried to install license from SupportNet and it did not show a Host ID at my site that matches my dongle. Downloaded a license.txt from Mentor Authorization Code site which did contain my dongle Host ID number. Still failed launch with the same error.
Ran Mentor_License_Utility and tried to install license from a file and selected the freshly downloaded license.txt and it reported: "No new licenses were installed and None or not applicable"
No idea what to try next.
I am using HyperLynx 9.2 on windows 10.
When I tried to check the simulation with EZwave , it shows up the message dialog as follow
"Memory Warning
Ezwave has almost reached the memory allocation limit
You can try to free memory by deleting waveforms or closing databases
In case of error, you can try to increase the memory limit:
1- setenv AMS_USE_ENV 1
2- setenv AMS_JAVA_MEMORY_HEAP "-Xms100M -Xmx1500M"
3- exit and re-run the simulation"

I was forced (tricked) into installing windows 10. On my 4 layer board, I am getting this plane problem.
It is not adding clearance for some holes and pads. Please see picture.
Anyone know why?
