Tracking Mentor Product licenses in FlexNet Manager
We currently using FlexNet Manager for Engineering Applications to centrally manage all the licenses we have for the various applications.
In FlexNet Manager you may create reports for the features of any application but you may not create reports for products.
For example, we may get the denials for “hypbswsiext_c” but we may not realize for which for the 2 products the request had been done, e.g. HyperLynx SI PI Bnd or HyperLynx SI LBSim GHz as far as this feature belongs to both products.
Has anyone experience/proposal on this issue?

Interfacing a Custom Interface PCB with test fixture with double-sided nails
Hello All,
We are using PADS Layout 9.5 to design a custom interface PCB to interface with a UUT using a test fixture with double-sided nails. This means that the bed of nails will touch test points located on the bottom of the UUT on the top of the nail while also touching a test point located on the top of the interface board with the bottom of the nail. In other words, the UUT and Interface PCB make a sandwich with the nails in the middle.
Our biggest challenge with this is that we need to layout the custom interface PCB so that the test points on the PCB matches exact coordinate locations of the test points on the UUT. We would prefer to have an automated way of doing this to not only save time, but also greatly reduce chance for human error (since we have 150 or so test points). The fixture house gave us a 1:1 DXF file that we can bring into PADS which has all of the test points present as simple 2D circles. The manual ways to do this would be to create test point components in the design and manually overlay the test point component onto the DXF test point circle, or manually type in coordinates for each test point. Any ideas for how to automate this, either with ASCII file or DXF manipulation or something else, would be greatly appreciated.

Script to list or highlight nets with protected status
Let's say I have a bunch of protected traces due to length matching, but some go to 0603 caps. I want to change the decal for all 0603 caps but Pads won't let me change the ones tied to protected traces so I have to unprotect them first. The problem is that I want to reprotect them afterwards, but may not have a list of which ones are protected. How can I get a list of these protected nets/pin pairs?

Pads Logic select parts depeding on ref des prefix or number range etc
hi folks
Is there a easy way or macro that can be used to select all R's or all C's or all 0402 R's .
Reason is in layout the new parts that added to design require me to reset the label size and positions, it only effects some parts so i dont want to do a global update, I just want some flexibility in what is selected other than pick "all on sheet" or "all in schematic" or individually select through project explorer.

how to control RNOM for hybrid connector on Saber netlisting for terminals

I want to run export a Saber netlist in CHS.
I have a hybrid connector with 2 values for the terminal resistance:

We use JBW for copying Projects. Thats's for sure! you know... never copy an open iCDB. But with JMW it's okay doing that.
My problem is, that it works on some computers, but today we spread Expedition on an additional computer.
This computer is like all other ones. But when I try the script to copy per automation with JMW, an error occurs (only by
scripting - not when I copy direct with JMW) - this error is calling:
"Unable to get information about version of common databse. Copy will not continue."
Who can give me a kick, to understand that message? I grope in the dark!
The parameters are the same as on a computer where it works well!

Pads With View Net set to a color
Not sure if this is a bug, but it seems that settings in the View/Nets menu are overriding the CAM settings?
If you set a net to a color (other than black) in the View Nets area, then want to do an assembly dwg in CAM set up
and have ALL pads set to light grey, the output of that CAM to PDF displays & prints those pads set to that other color in View Nets.
This does not seem like it should be an intended action??
