May I know how to resolve it
I want make the schematic as hierarchical design. I have created the top sheet with symbols and connections. on every opening the top sheet, error meassage window pop up.
"Failed to open document". If click on the OK button in error meassage window, the top sheet opens and I can work with the sheet. Does anybody know anythingaboutsuch a problem?

I have two questions about this data exchange format;
1) Does anyone know of a script that has been written to export the IPC-2581 format from PADS Layout?
2) Mentor Graphics is listed as a member of the IPC-2581 consortium. Does Mentor have any plans to implement IPC-2581 as an export option in PADS Layout?

I am using pads vx. I have finished my schematic and layout using netlist flow. Yesterday I got upgraded to pad standard plus. So I am eligible of integrated flow. How can I convert my existing project into integrated flow? I would also like to use hyperlinx to check my signal integrity and thermal simulations. Any help in that direction will also help? I am assuming I need to convert to an integrated flow to use hyperlinx on my design, am I right? Curently I am able to connect xDxdesigner project to my pads layout from pads but not able to connect xDXdesigner to pads layout or in other-wards, pads knows there is dx designer project is existing but dx desiner not. Any help is appreciated.

I would like to place 100 components in DxDesigner schematic sheet by one click from Databook Partition. For e.g. I have 500 resistor in the partition. I would like to validate mapping thro packager. So how to place these 500 resistors in DxDesigner schematic by one click.
I am using EE7.9.3version of DxDesigner Tool.

How can I match length among pin pairs in xPCB?
For a example ,
1. U1 - 1 > U2 - 1 > R1-1
2. U1- 2 > U2 - 2 > R2 - 1
There are two nets starting from U1 pin 1 and pin 2 to same of U2. Then they go to R1 and R2. What I want is Match trace lengths between U1 and U2 upto 5mils and U2 and resistors upto 5 mils. How can I get this done in xPCB?

I just ran into this today. In my company title block, the company name is changed to the Calibri font. This font suddenly became invisible. I could change it back to the native pads font, but when I went back to calibri it disappeared. The cause of this was due to a dxf block I imported into the database. When I exported the dxf file, I must not have selected the correct format and when it imported, the Calibri font was not available so even though this text had nothing to do with the import and already existed in the job, Pads made it invisible to satisfy the dxf file.
Ascii out the job, search for Visibility and near the bottom of the file you will find a section titled Visibility Data. Below that (in this case) is a line "Font_face Calibri". I deleted the word Calibri, saved the file and when I imported it into Pads, the text reappeared.
I don't know the scope of this visibility data section of the ascii file, but I suspect it can be used to control other things as well. There is nothing I could find in the help files about setting the visibility of text fonts, so I don't think this can be changed through a layout tab anywhere.

I just cant find the information I need, so here I go: we are using DxDesigner for schematics capture (hope this is the right place to ask). Within one project, I designed a block that shall be reused several times, and got that working fine. Now I want to go one step further: we need the same block in other projects too, but I'm not sure how to get this done.
The first step might be just getting the schematics block to be reused, later on we might want to reuse layout too, but that is not yet important. So my question is whether anyone can please give me a short how-to or name a appropriate document.

We have Microsemi tool license running on our server which includes a Microsemi version of ModelSim running the mgcld daemon on port 1702. We are trying to add a license server to the same machine for ModelSim/Questa also using the mgcld daemon on port 1717. My IT person said they are not able to make it run. Any suggestions?

I have a question concerning the "via & fanouts"-options of the Editor Control.
In this menu, you can activate the option "Allow one additional via per SMD pin". But independent of activating or non-activating this option, it is possible to add more than one additional via on a smd-pad. For me it is not clear which meaning this option has.
Furthermore, at the Plow-Menu of the Editor Control, you can define the "Max vias added", which means the number of maximum number of vias per pin during interactive routing.
But does it not contradicts itself when I define "Allow one additional via per SMD pin" = on and "Max vias added" = e.g. 5 ?

i simulated a layout with p2040 and 5ddr3(4+1ecc) in 1333 mbps i found that all the nets are passing and only dqs is listed in violation dqs 0,1,2,3 are getting failed
and 4,5,6,7 are passing what would be the error
i had obseved all the lines are routed with equal length with respect to the corresponding data lines
when i examined the layout
all the length matching is perfect what would be the reason for this failure?
